Bumper exhaust heat shield...

Being that I have a white car, I rather not get the CF heatshield.... because, well, its black cf & i think it looks ricey on a white car.

How is the metal exhaust heat shield? I know its not the hottest item on the market but all I care about is it working.

suggestions?

If the CF works the best, I'll just go with that i guess...

I have a RR 06 nine. i sold the CF one bc of what you said it looks ricey. I like the no-look but if i do get another itl be the metal simple one. That works fine they all do its a matter of material and color

+1

My neighibour with a WW IX has a CF one and I think it looks very good IMO. You could paint over the rivets.

There are some materials we use in on the Indy Cars and ALMS 24 hr cars it is a heat reflective film that is available in silver (Earls Indy) ask for Mark Meko and gold (C&R Racing) ask for Tommy or Stu both in Indianapolis. It is primarily is used around the header area and air boxes. This is the same material used by the F1 teams worldwide. It goes on like a sticker so you just make a template out of poster board and transfer it with a sharpie to the film and cut it out with sissors. I'm using it on an oil pan shield and oil filter shield for my evo I bond it to pre preg carbon fiber that makes a light heat reflective component. I will be trying a carbon header shield with this same material. I hope this helps

I agree that the CF heat shield looks ricey on a white Evo. I purchased one, and sold it before I even installed it.

I just let it get black and clean it with Gum Cutter whenever I wash the car. The black stuff comes right off.
