i don't have a single rattle in my car...
just curious- those with rattles, do you have aftermarket springs on??? i think the stiffer ride tends to loosen things up a bit.

Yep, welcome to the Evo. Don't worry though, even my new car does it a little too. Supposedly the Evo X is a lot better, the dealer told me (which could mean ANYTHING) that this was one of the things Mitsu focused on with the X. And this was the dealer that knew a lot about it, not the one that told me the ACW switch was for the suspension stiffness controls...

No rattles for my Evo yet, however, from time to time my old Lancer ES would rattle from the steering column in cold weather.

buy a X lol

seriously though - you're going to get rattles, particularly in the winter time. My buddies IX MR did, my SE does. The more you pull it apart, the more likely you are to generate even more rattles.

My dash has rattled before when I've left the car sitting for a long time. I think it's the plastic that the dash is made of that probably starts to become hard. After moving the car, it starts to squeek. This goes away though after the car is warm.

The only other permanent rattle I get is from my sunroof visor and only when it's pulled back. I attribute this to my roof being changed in the past. Oh well, not every car is perfect. And I agree the more you take things apart, the more rattles will incur.

Haha, I remember a huge thread about this a while back I think. My rattle moves. Everytime I think I have it figured out, it moves to another point in the car. You see, the rattle is moble, it will move around to f with you. Just start thread locking stuff lol.
