Dash Rattle??? OMG!!!
Ever since about 9k miles my dash has been rattling, and its starting to make me lose it
I've have checked it out, and it doesnt seem to be coming from one place, it's the whole damn thing...
I am willing to bet I'm not the only person dealing with this...
Have any of you fixed it or narrowed it down..??
I really notice it with the windows up.. and the radio low or off.

I removed all my crap from the car, and went driving, I tightened 4 bolts inside the radio console. The bolts were holding these side-panels in that divide the radio area from the other parts of the dash. Then I drove again. My cluster was rattling. I removed the trim piece around it, and covered the back with a gasket made of felt and spray adhesive. Then re-installed, gauge cluster doesnt rattle anymore. Now the only rattle I have is the drivers side door power-window trim piece, if I hold it it stops. I might lay a tiny 6" piece of dynomat there to stop it. Other than that no sound proofig on the car, and it doesnt rattle. Theres still road noise though. Your results may vary?

I did get the rattle on my passenger side door. My fix was to adjust the door hinge. It slides back and forth and you loosen it with the star wrench. I figured out the plastics were touching and the door was squeezed to tight.
The only dash rattle I get seems to be when its cold out and it sounds like my speedometer is grinding. But its brief and seems to go away after it warms up.
Dont know thw fix.

Another new one started somewhere behind or around the radio area and I can't stop it for the life of me. Sometimes it rattles and sometimes it doesn't.

Haha yeah same here. I used to have a rattle inside my steering colum, this was more of my fault because I just installed a turbo timer. It rattled for a week or two then went away. Haven't heard it in a couple months.

My dash rattles when its really cold in the morning , then it usually goes away when it warms up. I just turn the heavy metal up on the CD player and I can't even hear it anymore. You have to make a few sacrifices when daily driving an Evo and ride quietness is one of them. No big deal in my opinion.
