u can say that there are plenty of cars that might be able to keep up with or beat an evo stock. with only 500$ worth of mods the evo will walk the N/A competition even if they had some mods.

 

I actually raced a G35S today in my GSX, and i had him by about a car length, and im running high 12s, as most evos stock do, so i put the blame on the driver of the VIII. first upgrade should be taking an advanced driving class.

 

i walked my buddies 03 350z with my IX. he only has an intake though and i have all the bolt ons.

 

I have a nine not an 8 and i walked all over a g35 with no cats full exhaust intake and some computer reflashing. Honestly, if we had went from a roll i could have stayed in 3rd him in second and still woulda walked on him. And my car is pushing around 340HP 320TRQ roughly

 

Exactly if you put $1000 in suspension and $1000 in bolt on mods then you have a $30,000 car that has near exotic handling and performance. And i dont wana hear ANYTHING about the interior because you can shell out $60,000 for a Lotus Exige and get BUDGET everything no frills because thats what its set up to do.Honestly Id take the EVO anyday. IMO anyone hating on the EVO is jealous because of how easy it is to mod.

 

If the stock evo8 in the 1/8 launched properly I cant see the g37 walking it/catching up in the 1/8th. If the driver sucked and didnt drop well, then of course the g37/g35 can walk it as the evo prob bogged off the line.

In the 1/4, maybe after the 1/8 it'll start catching up, and passing up top.

As soon as you throw mods the evo8 > g37 > g35

 

you all fail at least the ones who said that the g's had a shot with equal drivers

i raced a z 05 probly, with my spec v i/h/e and was at his rear quarter it was my first time at the track, i had really bad wheel hop
my buddies a cop and they gave us the keys to a used 06 z which we beat on for about 2 hours
it felt really slow. they cars have the same motor dont they?

 

When my IX was bone stock I raced a 6-speed G35S....and yea, the only time he was even close to me was before the 3rd honk.
