Anybody know how many blue Evo's been made?
Don't buy a specific color for "collector value". I hate to break it to you, but unless they only make the Evo a 2003-only car (which they won't), the Evo will be just another fast car. True collectibles are far fewer in number. I bet my S2000 will be more collectible, just from a numbers standpoint. Just enjoy your Evo - get the color you like best. Of course, I have a BBY Evo, so if I'm wrong, I'm still ahead...

I like the shade of blue on the WRX, the S4 and on the Hondas. I looked forward to the blue Evo, but I just wasn't feeling it when I saw it live at the dealer. It is about the truest primary color blue that I've ever seen. I was hoping for a metallic or some other "not quite" blue.
Red was a close second, but I had two previous red cars and I wanted something different. Black looks great at night, but I wasn't ready for a black. White would be great if I wanted to do graphics. Silver is cool, but my dealer didn't have a silver car available. I chose YELLOW!
I plan on color-sanding the paint and then throwing a bunch of coats of clearcoat with metal flake to lighten and metallicize the blue - it should come out pretty cool... A pain to color-match later though.
i doubt the S2000 is more rare than the EVO at this point... i see a half dozen S2K's a week, whereas i have yet to see another EVO on the road in 3 months of having mine...
kinda cool, but would like some competition...

Here in the South, I have the only Silver Evo I have seen.
The dealers here have Red, Black, and Yellow primarily. I did see one blue one the other day.
Blue was actually my first choice, but I could not find one in stock in my area when i was buying in April. I'm am quite happy with Silver, as it seems to be a bit resistant to the radar gun.

Hasn't Honda been making S2000's at a rate of 10,000-20,000 cars per model year? And the S2000 has been out for 3 model years already. So there are probably about 40,000-50,000 of em on the road at this point.
The Evo has been in production for half a year now. And they projected that they would be making 5,000-6,000 of em this year. So there are prob, at most, about 5k of em on the road at this point...
40,000 > 5,000.....
So unless Mitsu really brings up the production numbers, the Evo will always be rarer than the S2000.
