HAHAHAHA +1
wait, i thought that was supposed to be the fun part with these?
Im seriosuly gonna go with the fact that it was just one of those chance things ya know--tires, spot of the road (or parkinglot, whatever), speed, etc etc etc...all the variables added up to you sliding...definately not the car...

I'm not sure why no one said this yet, but here goes. I'm going to assume you know what you're talking about cause you sound like you do. If you say it wasn't a slide, I'll buy that. So here's what I think. Your pads were cold. Was this McBadhealth food stop the first thing you did after leaving the house? Do you have Hawk brakes or some other after market performance brake pads? It's possible that for every squeeze your Evo was doing she just wasn't getting enough bite. Did you hear the sound on your rotors? I did this in a parking lot before just to know what to expect and she stopped rather well, but it sounded a bit violent. Like repeated muffled gunfire under all four corners of the car.

lol yea i think bads weren't heated up..i had same thing when i left my house today, goin down teh street, i always give myself plenty of room when comin to a stop in snow..i'm in jersey as well...
so i get to end of my road and brakin, and car just kept goin straight like i aint even hit the brakes at all, cars were comin on left side, luckily they were far enough were i could just hop out and make a right turn without hitting them

I agree, go to a lot, feel out your car. It helps. On a side note, back in December, I was in Boston and a storm hit, I plowed right through a foot of snow while there must have been a dozen cars stuck on the road. Not disappointed at all.
Only the hardcore racing pads needs to be warmed up. any street or performance like the HAWK HPS or HAWK HP+ will work good without warming up. Specially in slow speed.

but the sliding part is the natural nature of ABS
