buying a used modded evo? risky at best. why not trade up for a IX?

 

Only 17K on yours and already giving you problems? Wouldn't it be riskier to trade your car for one with more mileage then?

 

And heavily modded?

right now acd lights are on and figured i had a failing transfercase i put in the acd fluid and after i drive it for al ittle its gone but if i leave hte car on and let it sit there i dont spot no leak or any of the fluid going away and when im driving the service engine light came on. the car started shaking and then i shifted gears and it stoped for a little and it was aroudn 4krpm and redlined and i jus pulled over because hwen it redlined it wasnt going anywhere. it sounds like a clutch problem but when i checked to see if the clutch was slipping by pressing the clutch all the way in and revining it on 1st gear but the car didnt move so im guessing it wasnt the clutch sliping but i really dont know right now.

 

theres also a few ix's for the same price at that place but i doubt i can get a straight up trade =/ btwi have a financed evo.. does this mean i can still trade it in?

 

Anyone else notice they put 4 speed automatic on the "special features">>> And why would you trade for another V/// when they have a ix right behind it and possibly another one on the lot??

 

you can trade it in but the lot wont trade atright across. and it depends on how much you owe on the car whether or not it will be worth it. Oh and dont forget to remind them that the mods have nothing to do with the actual value of the car if they try and throw that in your face to pay their price. just some pointers.

 

its a great looking evo, but theyre asking way too much. what kind of problems are you having with yours?
