New Clutch/Flywheel, then boom?!

I recently went to a shop and got the car's clutch/flywheel installed (HDSS and Gruppe-S) , and everything was fine for a few hours, a little easy to push down the clutch though. Anyways, in third gear around 4K rpm, I hear a big BOOM, the car instantly looses power. and I stopped and it's dead. When I tried to turn it back on, horrible sound then it instantly shuts off...am I right to think it's the clutch and flywheel install? Or was it something worse? (Sorry, didn't know what to search for this issue.)

What kind of sound? It must hav been brought on by the install. I don't see how that could be coincidential.

Check your IC piping, mine did that by the intake manifold(top of the engine)

Nah, I popped the hood, the upper IC pipe was good. As for the lower one, I'm not sure. It seemed fine. The pop sounded like it was under the firewall.

How does the shifter movement feel? Have you tried starting it in neutral? Does it die with the clutch in or out? Maybe that extra clamping force blew the IC piping off Double/tripple/quadruple check the IC pipes.

It does start in neutral, but I'm not sure if it dies in or out. The car is at the mechanic that installed the clutch/flywheel, so, I can't really check anything on it.

I will let ya'll know. I just couldn't see why it would pop like that after a clutch/flywheel install.

How so?? The MAF is on the intake.. If its an IC pipe it would start but not run. It happens to me alot, it starts but stumbles and dies. As for the noise, I would be calling up the mechanic.

I had an IC pipe blow off @ 28 psi and it would run, just run like crap. I may be wrong in this assumption, but it'll read whats going through the maf into the turbo and will also see the 02 sensor and attempt to make adjustments from there...
