Bulletproof Automotive Evo 8 Demo Car Totalled!
Hey guys, it's Ben from Bulletproof Automotive here. I dont post on evom too often, but I wanted to step in here personally with this topic since it's very close to me.
A few years back I built a demo car using my good friend/customer Brian's Silver Evo 8 platform. It was at one point a Varis USA demo car and then changed directions a couple of times.
This car was very special to me and recently it was destroyed in a hit and run. Although I'm upset that the car is destroyed, I thought it could at least be some good entertainment for you all to see the rise and fall of this beloved car.
Because the car was my friend's car and was street driven, we kept it stealthy and mean, no stickers. For this reason and the fact that it wasnt a show queen, many of you will have never seen this car before. And after this you'll probably never see it again.
I've prepared a 3 part blog on "The Real JDM - Interactive" on our Evo. Parts One and Two are published. Part 3 shows the carnage. Before I post part 3 I want to know how many Evom readers are enjoying the blog.
If you want to see Part 3 with the damage, please comment on the blog and mention EvoM so that I know you guys are out there. The blog is getting at ton of exposure lately (magazines are even syndicating the content of it now), but I think not many guys from EvoM have seen it yet. Prove me wrong!

This is the text from the first post. check the blog for more photos and info ( http://www.bespokeventures.com/blog) ) :
This is an often unheard of project with an interesting past. This is the story of the Bulletproof Automotive Lancer Evolution 8 demo car.
The car started roughly four years ago as one of my friends and clients Brian A. wanted to build an Evolution and came to me with the project. At the time I was introducing Varis to the US and we had a contract with Varis for “Varis USA”. This car was to be the Varis USA demo car. So we ordered up the full catalog of Varis parts for the car.
A Japanese spec Evo 8 rear bumper was installed to accommodate the Amuse R1 Extra Titan exhaust and the Varis carbon rear diffuser. We then fitted the Varis carbon duct set for the front bumper, the front canards, the front lip, front wide fenders with carbon outlets, the side diffuser system, carbon hood, carbon trunk and a few other parts. The engine had a nice but light tune and we threw on a set of zeal coilovers.
To take advantage of the front wide fenders we did a custom set of matte black CE28Ns in GT-R face (nice concave spoke design).
At this time the car was silver and although I had some project control I couldnt do everything I wanted at the time visually.
Here is how it looked back then.

You say the car started off being Silver? Mine's silver and I love matte black. To what extent do you go with the color change? Did you pull the motor/interior and paint everything? Would you mind PM'ing me what you did, and what it cost
Thanx

That was a unique car with a good look. Sad to see that something bad happened. I was just on your blog the other day (random chance, since I'm not a frequent reader) and read the other two parts.
As far as your blog goes, it's pretty good, but you might want to make it a tad less egotistical. It's good quality stuff, but you come off as a bit pedantic, Ben.

I think I remember seeing pictures of this car when it was silver. It had pretty much all the Varis CF parts on it except the giant rear wing. Damn that car looked sick flat black. Sorry for your loss!
