too good to be true?
Doesn't anyone ever read the part out section if the car had parts on it it doesn't now and the buyer will state it never did wise up people. They're looking out for #1 and that's themselves.
This car is being sold by a car dealership so Im sure it would be very difficult for them to be able to tell if the car has been modded or not. Also carfax is only as good as the info that is reported to the DMV.You can't always trust carfax.
Go with your instinct... I almost got rip off twice. Once when I was trying to sell my MR2, well it wasn't through eBay though but still Online through the club's forums. The second time was when I found another MR2 that sounds real great but thank goodness I made a call to Western Union and they advise me not to go through with the deal. If I were you, I'll try looking for one near you so you can get a walk around before you buy it. Good luck.
I would def try to check the car out first. I know that can be hard depending on how far away it is. Esp with the IX front bumper, there may be an accident hidden in there. The price actually seems about right for an '03 even with those miles.
I wouldn't go so far as to say the wheels are hideous, just not to my taste
I bought my evo used, at an Infinity/BMW and they said it was "stock"- it wasn't but the mods were done correctly and I was going to do them anyways so whatever. Had a little trouble with warranty work but it turned out ok

i thought the year didn't really matter with cars and that as long as the miles were low the car is worth more.[/QUOTE]
Actually time will depreciate the car more than miles would. Atleast according to KBB 'suggested retail.'
When I bought my Evo, I had the option of:
06 with 22k miles - 29k (KBB value))
04 with 20k - 26k (KBB value)
Both selling for 24k. I opted for the 06 since I was making payments and figured the 06 (with more miles) will hold its value better.
I agree. People put too much trust in Carfax. My friend bought a used 2003 Mustang GT that had a clean Carfax record. When he went to trade it in a year later, the Carfax showed an accident with major body panels replaced.
