Would this cause damage if it was an VIII with the open front differential?

Someone needs to make a sticker that says
(if you don’t use a flat bed to tow my car, I will sue your as*)
(or)
(No flat bed = law suit), or something along these lines

+1

My cousin works for a tow company and he told me that if the driver doesn't follow the manufacturers recommended requirements for towing a vehicle that the tow company is fully liable. It's in the owners manual about how to properly tow an evolution, therefore, that's how recommends it should be done. I'd go after the tow company immediately! You shouldn't have to pay for there dumb **** ignorance!!! They hurt your investment, make them fix it.

Also, anytime your car has anykind of interaction with a tow truck, take pictures. Always, cuz you never know.

(moral of the story is lower your car so much that no one can tow it)
I think your car is fine but maybe a four wheel alignment and balance is in order.
nice.

I have the bright yellow lancer shop one near my vin number on the dash. I even got it laminated and velcroed it to the dash.

Its the towing companies resposibility to know what cars are awd. When audis first had quattro towing companies towed them on two wheels not knowing they had awd. There was a big uproar and the towing companies had to pay for the damages.

Take your pictures and your owners manual(section about towing) and show the tow company these items. Tell them that they will pay for damages or you will call your lawyer, local news stations, and your local paper and that they will get these items and the complete story. I'm sure after that they will fork up the repairs.

If you got your Evo towed 2 wheel then most likely your Transfer Case is jacked up. It'll drive fine, but if it smells like tranny fluid inside and all of your ACD lights are lite then your TC is gone.

Transfer case should be fine. Its the center diff that takes the abuse. I've seen a center diff that was welded together b/c it overheated from being towed. That was on a Galant VR4 though.

Change the tranny fluid.

My yellow sticker has a tiny little evo on the back of the truck. Wing and all.

and its backwards static-cling. So it's actually inside the car, but stuck to the glass (should last forever).
