Got my car towed on 2 wheels

Hey guys.. last week when i was at school taking a test.. i accidently parked in a place where parking was not permitted at a certain hour.. so after all that is said and done.. I called the tow company after my test and they came back with my car.. and i realize that it was on 2 wheels.. Anyways i can't really tell if there is damage to the car.. i try to take it to a couple shops but they all tell me if it drives its okay.. anyways what are the necessary steps i need to take to make sure everythign is okay.. and if i could sue the tow company if somethign is wrong.. i have pictures up soon.

Mine was towed and it broke an axle seal( they used the dolly, just were a little rough). If yours was on two wheels, I assume it was the front two . The quickest thing I could think of would be to drain your rear lsd and check the plug for shavings. This will atleast tell you if there is breakage. When they towed it back were the wheels rolling, or dragging? If they were rolling, chances are that your lsd gave out. These are all things, I gathered from when my car was towed.

I am still trying to figure out how if mine was towed properly, why the axle seal broke. any body have an answer, for me?The only thing I can think is since my e-brake was on, that caused it. Any body know if the e-brake grabs the passenger side wheel (I have read that it only grabs one wheel)

Now go buy the sticker from Mach V so you can sue next time for sure, since I'm not sure you can this time...

Pure ignorance of the tow company.

Have that transfer case checked out. I don't know if your insurance company would pay for damages causes by them, but worth a shot.

if the tow truck company damaged your car by not checking if it was awd i think you should be able to hold them responsible.

They think when you ask what type "Lancer" pops in there head and automatically its fwd............ its their fault and hold them relieable 100%

The sticker is a good idea since most tow truck companies gather the information from the car for a tow such as a vin number. I would put it on the windsheild by the vin so that they will hopefully see it and think twice about towing it without a flatbed. Tow companies have insurance for things like this and it is their responsability to tow the car properly, if they damage it then they are the ones responsable for it.

It is in the system of what drivetrain it is. The tow company is completely responsible for it. I wouldn't even waste time and let your car possibly get damaged even more. They should know better. Evo's get towed all day.

i did the same thing and parked in a teachers spot in the parking garage, the car was backed in and so low that they could not get the dolly under it and the gargage was not tall enough to get a flat bed in so i just got a ticket and parking for the day!!! (moral of the story is lower your car so much that no one can tow it)
I think your car is fine but maybe a four wheel alignment and balance is in order.

Yep, right by the VIN is where to put it, I had one on the Evo, and I've even been thinking of getting one for the Porsche (even with the Evo picture on it), even though supposedly it can be towed as a RWD and survive.
