so the evo has an auto lock feature.... could you explain it to me cuz i still really dont know how i locked it or if it locked me out. because ive done this before but this didnt happen or so i thought ive done this
Most new cars if ur car is running, and unlocked after a certain time will auto lock on its own. Kind of like a child lock safety feature.
My last car would autolock all the time even if it wasn't running.

Most police officers aren't trained locksmiths even though some do carry tools. We've seen more officers and firemen damage cars than actually get them open. They often just jam a tool in to the door and move it around trying to get something to happen ... no better than your friend with a coat hanger.
Wait on a locksmith.

I've owned two Evo's an neither of them had an autolock feature. It will relock itself if you unlock the doors with the fob then don't open one. Most cars with the autolocking feature don't do so until you drive off.
BTW,I really don't know that starving your car fuel (leaning it out) would be any better than blocking the exhaust.
