Out of those two the Greddy would be better as the HKS necks down to 2.5in at the cat I believe. Not sure about the sounds, but just do a search on YouTube and you'll find plenty of sound clips. To be honest you might just want to save yourself some money and buy a turbo back from either AMS or Buschur. Also Cobb Tuning makes a killer TBE for under 1k and its full 3in makes great gains and isn't overly loud. I'm thinking of switching to it.

+1 For the price of one of those catbacks, you could get a whole TBE from Megan or someone. I mean they're all just pipes.

I'd say the Greddy. Sounds better IMO and doesn't neck down to 2.5" as stated above. I couldn't spend THAT much on a catback that isn't even a true 3".

I'm going to go out on a limb here with this one

catback - from your factory cat to exhaust tip

turboback - from your turbo to your exhaust tip

exhaust configuration - o2 housing (not included in TBE) - downpipe - cat - mid pipe (section of cat back) - muffler (second section of cat back)

Yea, definately go with TBE. You will notice a difference in sound then. I have the HKS now but not as impressed as I thought I would be. There's a lot of choices you have other than HKS and Greddy. You just have to find the right deal.

AMS sounds pretty nice. I agree with you on the HKS catback, cant really hear it. I have a greddy TI now. I also have a megan and a JIC TI. If you decide to get a AMS TBE pm me i can sell you a used one for really cheap.

as far as performance you can't go wrong with buscher or ams. i have the ams and it is pretty loud. but just get a resonated test pipe and you will be fine. what you need to look at is a true 3" straight through exhaust. i also like supporting your local evo tuners.

there are options with their exhaust. you have a choice of a high flow cat, a normal 3" test pipe, or you can get a resonated test pipe. the cat and resonated test pipe will cost you more but it will be quieter. you will also lose a little hp with those two options but not much. checkout their website. or call them up they always like to talk evo's.
