Question Part I broke question.......

Alright guys, I know your probably going to make wise cracks and make fun of me. But here goes anyways. What is the part of the car called that is under the intake and has 2 vacuum hoses going into it and 1 plug for electrical, and is it expensive to replace? I broke the electrical part of it. PLEASE help! And try not to make too much fun of my knowledge of my car. Thanks......

Oh, 1 more thing.... Is this a dealer ONLY part or can I get it from an Autozone or Checker or other parts store???

It still should throw a CEL if the solenoid isn't plugged in. I leave mine plugged in even with a MBC in the car.

It is the boost solenoid. It is semi important to leave plugged in unless you like CEL's. What exactly did you break on it. It may be repairable. Show us a picture.

+1 hit the nail on the head. Most guys keep them because of the CEL they trip when you unplug them.

I broke the nipple off my EBC solenoid. I just tapped a brass one in there... How did you break it??
