rollers???

have you guys ever heard of running an all wheel drive car on a dyno only made for two wheels? the reason i'm asking is cause there's a shop here that says they can use a two wheel dyno to tune a evo but the only thing is that you wouldn't get the corrrect hp readings.

You Cheeseheads crack me up!!!!! why the heck would you even try to do that!??!

seriously.... if you do try, you will have to take your driveshaft out (or atleast disconnect it)

this is like you know your a redkneck when....
also reminds me of that canadian comedy show where he is always making his own made things instead of buying them.
like instead of buying a power windows kit for his maual level type car. he used a drill and put the gear of the windo mechanism into the drill, turned the drill on and wolla power windows! LOL

I wouldn't let that shop near my car. Not ever... not for any reason.

i don't know if this matters but the guy told me that the other two wheels would be on rollers. i'm not to sure being new to these kinds of things but i thought it made sense because all the wheels would still be going and the fact is i'm not to worried about my hp. i'm more worried about the drivability of the car. would you guys still do it? it's the closest option besides ams in chicago and that's like 6 hours away.

what he told me is that he can flash my evo to get the max potential out of the parts i'm putting on there and get the car to run as good if not better than stock. the only problem he said we would have is that we won't get actual hp readings. from how he explained it to me, it sounds like the other two wheels will be on rollers just so that it doesn't screw up the drivetrain. pretty much they'll just be moving with the other two but he won't be getting any readings from those two wheels. i don't know if it makes sense but then again like i said, i'm new to the evo and that's why i'm asking on this forum. and oh yeah... you know how your not a redneck???? because your asian. get your sh_t straight before you start talking stupid. some of us are on here to get help and help others. not to be sh_t talkers.

does this make sense to anybody? all i want is a simple yes or no. help me out before i spend all this money on parts that are going to screw up my ride. lemmonhead was right about one thing, i know my car has to be tuned after modding but i'll agree that living in this " mostly " redneck place, there is nowhere that does this kind of thing. i had to look hard as hell just to find this place. there is a place that has a 4 wheel dyno but he only installs piggybacks and tunes those and i know i don't need no piggyback unit for minor bolt ons. plus he wants close to g to do it too.

I'd recommend maybe getting a mail in flash? or something like that since your location makes it kinda tough to find a shop to get tuned.
