Spark Plug replacement : Socket doesn't seem to fit

Hi all,

I'm trying to change out my sparkers for the first time and I'm using the how-to from the how-to section. I got a deep 13/16 from osh, but after dropping the socket down to the spark plug, it seems to hit something and not go all the way down. Any ideas?

Thanks in advance.

take it out imidietly. first make sure is a spark plug socket and is perfectly roud outside diameter, second using the correct size, third make sure the socket is long enough, tape the socket to the extension. yeah tape it, when I did my first replacement my socket wan't perfectly roun outside so when I droped it in it got stock in the spark plug hole and when I pulled it it came off the extension. I got it out after like 30min, I bought a new one and taped it to the extension worked nice. if you have all of that meke sure that the rubber that is inside the spark plug socket is farther in so it has plenty of space to grab the spark plug nut ,but enough for the rubber to grab the spark plug(the white long part of it)

What should the spark plugs be torqued down to after installing new ones?
