$2000 to spend on EVO

OK, so i am selling off my Ralliart tomorrow and after paying off the money I owe on it I will have about $2000 to spend on my 03 Evo. When I bought it, it had:
K&N Drop IN
Slotted Rotors
Vishnu XEDE (which I am not impressed with, so getting rid of it.)

So far I have bought:
Plugs and Wires (fixed the high rpm sputtering)
HKS Hi-Power TBE (only $350 from a friends 3 months old) and I haven't yet installed it

And with the 2000 bucks I am looking into purchasing:
Evo VIII UK Rear Badge
Injen Intake w/ Upper and Lower IC piping (heard mixed reviews though)
Hallman Pro RX MBC Kit
EVO IX MR JDM BOV
Greddy 52mm Boost Guage
Walbro 255 Fuel Pump w/ Kit
Dyno tune from either Speed Element or GST Motorsports here in the Bay Area
Tein coilovers (am getting them for $250 from same guy as TBE)

So I guess what I am asking is... Am I headed in the right direction here with power mods? Should I add anything or take anything out of this list. Any input will be appreciated, thanks guys.

Dont need the kit for the Walbro. I would go with Buschur upper and lower pipes as well as intake. I would not get the Pro RX, just the Pro. I bought the RX and the ceramic ball is too light to adjust boost up high. I called Hallman and they told me the RX was designed for the WRX to finely adjust boost within a few PSI. They sent me the steel ball and that allowed me to boost over 19psi. The rest of the stuff looks good to me!

About the Injen stuff. I like the Injen intake but the maf pipe is bulky. And if you ever run a different UICP (like a buschur one for instance) the BOV is hard to fit. If you are getting the UICP and MAF pipe both from Injen they should fit very well. Id move my battery to the trunk as also.

1) The HKS HI-Power is only a cat-back, not a TBE. Did you buy a whole TBE or just the cat-back? For $350, I imagine it's just the cat-back, because that thing is $500+ new. So, you might need to complete the TBE with a DP and test pipe or HFC.
2) If you have limited cash, why get Injen pipes? Get higher quality, better performance pipes like ETS or Buschur.
3) Get tuned by Bryan at GST.
4) Hallman is great, but Forge UNOS is better and has a ratcheting knob (clicks for each increment) unlike the Hallman. Same price, so why not get the one with the extra feature (very important feature).
5) Not sure how any Tein coilovers could be sold for $250. The coilovers cost way more and are worth far more than the exhaust, so why would he be selling them for $100 less unless something is wrong with them?

i would stay away from Tein in general. there produces aren't that good and their springs tend to start sagging after a while. if i was u i would get the MR suspension (with the Swift springs if u want a stiffer/lower ride) or some Bilstein HD with Swift springs if you are going to be going to the track more.

The HKS i bought from my buddy did come with a DP, and I am going to buy a HFC instead of a test pipe because the cops around here are horrible.
As for the tein coilovers, my buddy just wants them gone. They were on his evo for 6 months, then he took them off when he sold it and got his S4. So I am just lucking out with that purchase.
Also with the intake, I have heard good things about the buschur one. As for the intercooler piping. I have been told that the LICP is most urgent to replace because it is really restrictive. And the UICP is more for show than go, if you are running the stock IC still like I am.
Also, is it pretty simple to move the battery to the trunk? Never really tried or seen it done. Thanks for the input so far guys. I definitely trust you guys more than my old man.

Are you running a standalone or MAFT/GM setup?.

The buschur intake pipe is very nice stuff, but it has problems with rpms dipping almost stalling out the car on stock metered air. I have the injen one on my car right now, and my buschur is just sitting there waiting for a speed density setup

There is nothing urgent about changing out the LICP - it's not a problem at all. I just changed my stock pipes out for aftermarket stuff from ETS this week after 3.5 years of hard core racing. Do not move your battery to the trunk either.

i think that the licp is one of the first things that needs to be done to an evo, it creates a bottleneck

skip the intercooler pipes, stock will be fine for qute a while, you're just buying bling really. also skip the UK badge, thats money that can be spent on go-fast. the BOV.....thats a tough one, the plastic 03 DOES suck *****.

If it was me, and my 2000$-

10.5 hotside from the for sale forums (1-200$)
C A M S !!!! one of the biggest mods you'll make until you upgrade turbo
UNOS MBC like Warr said
the HKS exhaust you're getting a steal on
the coilovers, again since you're getting a deal
drop-in air filter OR the Buschur intake kit
the MR BOV or a IX BOV, same diff (get it used on the forums here for cheap)
send your exhaust mani, 02 housing, and intake mani/throttle body to Buschur for the coating/porting.
And of course....the TUNE!

IMO, with these mods, you'll go quite a long ways! Heck with the right tune/gas, you could be closing in on the 350-375whp mark for probably less then 2000$! Again, take your time, be patient and surf the Private For Sale forum on this site, you'll come up with a ton of great deals. Bling factor stuff (IC pipes, badges...) bah, you're driving a MITSUBISHI EVO!!! You're already blingin!! Just think back to say....99 or 00 when we were all just playing Gran Turismo dreaming about the chance to own an EVO. The car speaks for itself image wise, upgrade what counts
