Defi gauges are nice, but they're overpriced to hell.

I have some AEM digitals in mine, and I like em a lot. I prefer a quick basic readout over the needle. Though AEM's gauges have been going down in quality recently, my boost gauge was on the fritz and had to send it back for a new one.

Most people will say Defi however, I have AEM TruBoost, Oil Pressure, and Wideband. I absolutely love them.

I just ordered a three Prosport EVOs. Boost/vac, wideband, oil press for my triple a-pillar pod. I had autometers but wasn't diggin mechanical gauges so I switched over. They are pretty sweet looking gauges and seem pretty popular, not to mention they share the evos namesake. Worth checking out: http://prosportgauges.com/evo-series.aspx

I don't know what is the best, but it certainly doesn't include the gimmicky Asian offerings. FWIW, if I didn't opt for the factory gauges on my SE, I would have bought VDO.

Defi is not entirely accurate...esp. boost (off at least 2-3psi with the two I've had). The black face gauges are hard to see in bright sun; the backlighting is not bright enough and they wash out...so keep that in mind when you are choosing where to mount.

Personally, I went with Stack. They are dead nuts accurate, they have a very clearly marked dial, clear dial "glass", no gimmicks, no extra controller box to mount.

There are others out there that are cheaper than Stack and very good: Stewart Warner, VDO, Autometer to name a few.

Prosports are cheap, I will give you that...but you get what you pay for. I know checking some problems out for others, esp. boost, the gauges were off. I'm not sure I would trust them entirely...ymmv.

...and did anybody notice that this thread was brought back from a three year coma?

Anybody know what is the size of our stock gauges? Also any suggestions on what other option I can go with as far as a new gauge pod to replace the stock one? I have the gauges at the top, then a/c then radio and I like the location of everything now. I don't like the idea of putting gauges that block any type of view eg on top of steering wheel or on top of the dash.

thanks!
