I got some RPF1s in 17x8 and Baer 2-piece floating rotors on all four corners. The rotors, alone, made for ~20lb savings. The RS' are stunning wheels, perhaps my favorite on an Evo.

The AMS kit sheds a sh!tload more weight, but IIRC requires 15" wheels and isn't as suitable for non-drag applications:

Handlinh - breaking -accelerating . The weight saving is a very good modification !

Wise to stick with 17". I'm on cheapo 18x8" at the moment because of two damaged stock IX Enkeis. They look nice, I have a feeling they're atleast 2lbs heavier per wheel. I thought my car just felt a little slower from a rolling 1st gear start, but I'm fairly certain it is those wheels. I'll have to look into those rotors. I don't know anything about them really.

I LOVE the Advan RS. My next runner up for good looking, weight saving wheels would be Volk CE28N.

Agreed! Try a reduction in rotational mass, if you haven't already, for an eyeopener.
