Options for blown tcase

If you have the tcase whine and grinding when shifting gears its two separate issues. You may possibly have a bad tranny and transfercase. If there are no shops near you that can do it, you can ship your tranny and tcase to shep and he will look at it for you.

Pretty sure its your tcase going. I'd go with a shep rebuild myself. This thread is making me dread the day that I have to fix mine

thanks for the info. and yes, my whine sounds the same as the "death whine" but only about 1/4 as loud.

Every whine i've heard in an evo that i've worked on so far has been a t-case, so my money's on that. If you don't know of a compitant performance shop in your area then you will have to just have someone pull out the t-case and send it to shep to check it out and let you know if its messed up.
