Your vacuum is right at idle. An easy way to tell if the boost is correct is to just run off the wastegate to see if you are running at 11 lb's.

With the car off it should read 0, if it doesnt then I wouldnt suggest trying to fix it, unless you send it to the mfr. Just replace it, it's a autometer gauge. Shouldnt cost too much or be hard to find.

WG presure varies from 11-12lbs.

okay with it turned all the way down the boost was reading 12psi. but it must really be at 11. so, when i turned it down and back up i counted the clicks and it was 15, if each click is .5psi then that puts me at 18.5-19.5 correct? or dont the clicks represent anything?

and before this the guage looked like it was only reading 17psi at full boost

Easiest thing to do is with the car off if the gauge reads zero you are good anything else and the gauge is broke and depending on when you bought it you can contact autometer and they will replace or repair it for you I belive there is a sticker on the body of the gauge with the manufacture date or batch code or something to that nature. Autometer is real easy to work with they will help you out.

And an after thought, you don't want to open the gauge that would void any warranty there is. How long ago did you buy it?
