smoke and metal burnt smell after install o2
whoa got me scared until i scrolled down lol.. but even though all the bolts that connect to the o2 housing to the hotside is not that tight but have a new gasket it should be tight enough right? cause i didnt use a torque wrench since it wouldnt fit but i tightened it tight as i could..
On one hand it could be just oil burning off. I know when i got my 10.5 hotside i freaked out on the first drive when i saw the smoke thru the vent, but it burnt off.
But i also have had crappy gaskets, like the ones that come with the Megan stuff. It crumbled to pieces in between my block/manifold, manifold/turbo and o2 housing. I could hear/smell the leak and see thin smoke from it too. So I went back to the stock metal gaskets and that solved my problem there, just a pain to unbolt and re-bolt all that because of some crap gaskets.

You need to get that taken care of. Driving it like that WILL break the other bolt, and then if you are lucky the crossbars will hold the exhaust up. Also there is most likely a leak there if there is only 1 screw. That thing has to be aligned nearly perfect. Otherwise be prepaired for exhaust smell everywhere and stains on your hood and everywhere else.
