Did you use anti seize? Could be that, or just contaminates burning off, or exhaust leak.

Probably just grease from your hands and anything that was on the outside. It will burn off for a while after install when the exhaust gets hot. You could have an exhaust leak, but doubtful as you can normally hear those. Don't worry about it too much, if it is still smoking tomorrow, then worry about it.

Yea any new exhaust piece will smoke/smell like that right after putting it on. Just the oils and such burning off. No worries

I remember when i had the stock turbo you could kind of see the gasket, you should probably get a new bolt though...

An exhaust leak is like a propane leak, you need to be careful, it could totally reignite.

Yeah, I'm just kidding. You're fine, a little exhaust won't blow anything up.

whoa got me scared until i scrolled down lol.. but even though all the bolts that connect to the o2 housing to the hotside is not that tight but have a new gasket it should be tight enough right? cause i didnt use a torque wrench since it wouldnt fit but i tightened it tight as i could..
