evo ix brembo peeling?

evo ix brembo peeling?

any one know if they ever fixed the brembo's from peeling in the ix's?

i was looking around evom and i came across a thread saying how the brembo's dont take well to rim cleaners and i've used my rim cleaner about 10 times now... wondering if i should stop useing it...

I havent heard anything about brembo's on ix peeling. I heard they used a better clear coat on them and also on the wing for the ix. I definitely would not recommend using the rim cleaners on the rims just because of the risk it might even touch the brembo paint. Use a little of elbow grease and some time and scrub away!

hrmm i guess your right.. i just hope that the rim cleaner hasnt already damaged my brembo's, it looks fine though... i believe the rim cleaner is clear coat safe..

if they do peel there's a really good write up on the "install-how to's" link about how to paint them and where to get the brembo sticker to go on the caliper

I dont think they will replace anything cause dealerships are cheap, but it doesnt hurt to try and DONT say you have been using any cleaners on your brakes and wheels.

LOL that's Wack. I expect better from brembo... Mine still look new. I was just wondering if I should stop useing the cleaner. (which I will) I really hope my brakes never peel though... That sucks

some people have decent luck getting the dealers to warranty them. My buddy with an 8 just got his warrantied.
