Do you by chance have a dyno sheet so we can see your ideal power band. I just seriously doubt you're making any more power going that much further above the stock rev limiter of 7600 RPMs. What kind of cams to do you have? Stock springs and retainers?

What is your boost tapering down to, maybe you have a leak?

Good call. He could be going from 23 PSI peak to something like 16 PSI and that'll feel slow. MAYBE fuel or boost cut, but that feels like hitting a brick wall.

It's not a boost leak. It would be noticeable during spool up if it was that big. There is no "boost cut", only fuel cut. If he hit that, he would know it. My $ is on the clutch starting to slip or just revving pointlessly to 8k because there is no way he is making power up there.

usually, slipping is first noticed right before peak torque in top gear, so for a 5 speed IX right around 3500rpms in 5th gear @ WOT

I have a stock head.

Its definitely not boost cut or fuel cut I had that problem before I got tuned.

The car hold boost very well, I am set at 23psi and it tapers to about 21.5-22psi.

Give Ivey a call... stop messing around on here trying to find an answer. Call Sean he will take care of you and find out whats wrong. Even if that means he stays late he usually will go the extra mile to make sure there is no problem.

The reason I am trying to find the answer here is so I dont have to bother sean if its a simple solution. If I cant really find the answer I will take to sean. I know sean will take care of me he always does, but if I can find the answer here why should I ask sean to take time out of his day?

Go out and just drive the car to see if your clutch is slipping. It will take 30 seconds.
