how can i replace my o2 with my plx wideband?

i have the plx sm-afr module and gauge and i read somewhere that i can completely replace my REAR o2 sensor with this module by using the narrow band on the module. is this true? and if not what would be my option for removing the REARo2 without having any poblems?

So your stuck on not welding a bung on the downpipe for the wideband? If you take your downpipe off (takes 10min) and take it to a muffler shop, they can weld on an o2 bung cheap. then you can leave in your rear o2.

yea, im really the type of person that, if i dont need it and i can use the place it goes for something better, i dont want it there. i would just like to get rid of it if its as easy as running a narrowband wire to the plx.

No you cant replace you front O2 with you wide band. You can put the wide band in the rear O2 hole but to me thats way to far down stream. Just get a bung welded in you DP.

Your wideband is stand alone it doesnt take the place or share power or signal with either of the other O2's.

You can use signal however to set open loop changeover point and such but youd want to tap that at the ECU

did i say front o2 sensor? i know i cannot replace my FRONT o2 sensor with my wideband. but on the instructions, it says that i can replace my rear o2 sensor by using the narrow band (1-2v) output on the module.

Dude, its just more trouble then its worth. Just have a bung welded on the dp, it is far more important to get the most accurate reading from the wideband as possible and thats closer to the engine.

+1 on bung in downpipe. Any exhaust repair place will do it for next to nothing, they'll even remove your downpipe if you want.
