im pretty sure it would be cheaper to just buy an mr rather than spending all the extra money to get the parts and have someone else install them. like everyone else said its rice, dumb, waste of time, waste of money, and people will make fun of you if you actually do this

lol, i guess the issue here is that every1 else thinks im doing it because i care what other ppl think. Honestly, i like the look of it, is there really that much difference between the MR and the base 8? Not really... at least performance wise.

To be truthful, i would prolly just badge it n get the rims, im just looking for looks here.....

Jim, that post was actually helpful, thanks! However, Mitsu DOES make a 5 speed silver shift knob that will fit onto the 8.

If some1 could point me to a site where i can get the badging/etc. I can take it from there.

lol, and no i have never owned a honda... maybe thats the problem???

hahahaha i just read through this.. you are a joke, if you didn't own a honda you owned an acura. this is awful, its like putting an S4 badge on an A4. and what do you mean the MR and GSR are the same performance wise? the bilsteins alone make it a completely different car. are you really trying to justify that you like the "look" of MR badging? it would only be one badge on the back bumper... the center of gravity will still be higher on your car then an MR because of the roof. you have stock rims, 5 speed tranny etc etc... let alone the fact that someone looks up the VIN on your car you still don't have an MR. your a tool and the last thing the evo community needs is another ricer to come and look like a douche. drive what you have, invest your money into mods that will make it "your" car, not something you don't have.

I owe 14k on it

With $1000 down, they'll lemmie take the IX out the door (includes taxes) for 29k.

Good deal or bad deal
and just to prove that it would cost less... this is your own post from a while ago

that was 7 grand to upgrade, a true MR conversion would be way over that

No acura either, altho i did have a 3000GT VR-4 and a Supra....

Again, going for the looks, the "stock" shocks on a base 8 are pretty kick @$$, and the higher center of gravity means i dont lose half my bottom end when going over speed bumps.

Modding your car, now there's an ingenious idea. Void your warranty and reduce the reliability and value of your 20k + investment....

Please sell your evo and buy one of those crappy fiero's with a Ferrari conversion. Better yet... If you need a compinsation device that bad go buy a lifted truck that will never see dirt.

BTW, quoteing yourself in your signature just shows how much of a tool you really are.

Well, actually it was quite a bit more if you would read through the rest of the posts. And the dealers raped that car on test drives.

Well, seeing as your sooooo concerned with your warranty, it wouldn't make a difference to you would it... because any issues would be covered for free by mitsu

your not winning this battle... your a tool, converting your non-MR into an MR is going to make you look like a loser no matter what.

I have an extra set of bilsteins laying around for sale at the right price, with less than 20K miles on them.

are you ill? higher center of gravity from the weight in the roof has nowhere near anything to do with scraping over speed bumps; slamming your car on coil-overs or some s-techs will do that for you....

Ah, good catch, it has a lower center of gravity because of the weight reduction, not because it is lower to the ground.

lol, i want to do this now just to **** you all off
