How much are you guys paying for tire mount and balance?

Apparently all of the shops around here either want to charge me out the *** or refuse to do buisness with me.

I started my work day off just fine and got done extra early to get my new Nitto NT555R 245/45/17's put on my car the track meet im attending on Sunday. Needless to say I should have just stayed at work. Out of the 8 places I went to 4 of them flat out refused to mount them because I did not purchase the tires through them, 3 wanted anywhere between $25-$44 per tire!!!, and the last one was only open for an hour and a half after I got there and they said that was not enough time.

A firestone shop charged me 55 bucks for all 4 wheels. Not all Firestone places will do it, and some may charges more.

They scratched up my BBS though =(

There are a handful of 24 hour tires places within 10 miles of me. I have gotten wheels straigtened at 10pm, tires mounted at 3am and tires patched at all times of the day. The place I goto charges 12 dollars per tire with mounting and balance.

I just got 4 wheels/tires mounted today and this shop wanted $30/tire. I talked them down to $20/tire. The dude up front claimed the 18's with 35 series tires are hard to mount and require over an hour of labor. I talked to the guy who actually did the mounting afterwards and he said he had no problems. So, your results will vary.

shoot just buy some used rims and put your winter tires on them and then you dont have to mess with being charged $100 or more every year to switch from summer to winter tires. shoot $100 per year after 5 years thats $500 bucks just in putting on the tires?! fawk that.

Free!!!... The benefits of going to a Technical school! It probably took me a half hour to rack up the car, take the wheels off, dismount all four tires.. remount the four new tires, balance them with our road force machine, remount, lower the car... and smooth as silk!
