I bought a WW IX RS with 1500 miles on it from an individual in California. It finally arrives tonight and the rear bumper looks like crap. It must have been too close to another car on the truck.
The worst thing is the driver used a can of spray paint and tried to fix it before he got here. I could have lived with the scuffs but the Idiot got overspray everywhere, he even painted the license plate lights!!
I have already filed a claim with the company so hopefully they will pay up.

Anyway I see from searching that the JDM bumper comes painted. Does anyone know if a standard replacement bumper from Mitsi comes painted? Also any idea on how the costs of the JDM and USDM prices compare?

 

Contact Rexspeed and see what they are asking for there JDM bumper covers. I got one from one of there buddies. Pretty good company to deal with. As far as the difference in price and if the USDM ones are painted I don't know.

you can get it repainted for around $300. or you can get the JDM for about $600 shipped. if you get the JDM make sure its the same white as yours. i'm not sure which white the JDM comes in, weightless white or wicked white. search for vendors and ask them.

 

The JDM rears usually go anywhere from $499+shipping up and are pre-painted.I'm not sure if the USDM ones come pre-painted or not.You can pm RusselM or go to www.mitsubishiparts.net or you can check the private for sale section for a used bumper.Good luck.

 

Thanks for the responses. It took alot of the fun out of getting the car today when I saw the bumper. Ive just noticed there is a good sized dimple above the license plate area so it will have to be replaced.
