28k too low? I think its too high! I only paid like 30,500 or 31,000 brand new in early 06 for my MR. I'd say run and don't ever look back.

 

I'd stay away because 4k w/ tranny problems, has to of been abused.

 

^ True, plus if the transmission is having issues, chances are, there's other stuff too.

 

If there is oil all over and the tranny is acting up then i would turn around and never look back. Say they put a new tranny in it and then the oil leak is actually something bigger and say it isnt even the tranny say it is the T case.... BAD NEWS all over it!

 

I would be very suspicious of an Evo that was traded in with only 4k miles on it. Did the salesperson say why the car was traded in?

i spoke to the sales guy and he said the kid didnt know anything about cars and traded the car in for a AUTOMATIC gti. Real weird. I told him i might take it if the tranny is changed and i get a new clutch. What else might be wrong with the car in this case that i should be worried about? thanks

 

i checked the carfax and it has 1owner bought in 2007 and everything clean

 

just find a different one man.
