K&N drop in vs Buschur Intake Kit

I just bought the K&N drop in yesterday and am actually quite happy with it, I can no doubt feel the power keep building all the way to the redline instead of dropping off right there, something I wasn't expecting. Now I was just thinking to myself, I could have bought the Buschur kit for the same price for their conical filter and adaptor. Was that stupid of me to go for the K&N when I could have gotten the Buschur, or is it just as good. Im hoping I didn't spend my $80 on the wrong thing.

Never the less... the K&N is very good quality and makes a very very good seal in the airbox.

I don't know if you need a tune for the buschur or not but I've heard all good things about the K&N and what is $80?? two tanks of gas?

I've had both. Buschur air filter felt a little better up top, but this could be just the placebo effect. I thought for $80 it was a nice little weekend mod. Sounds very nice though. A friend of mine who has ridden in my car many times while I was using the K&N panel, mentioned it felt better up top as well with the Buschur filter.

I wouldn't worry about it. The K&N is stealthier IMHO. More filter surface versus sucking in hotter air.

ya I have heard so many people say that the intake won't make a big difference, but wow I swear that K&N drop in really helped up top, im impressed. Good mod for sure! And I cut the lid a bit and I also think that helped a little, I like the sound anyways even if it didn't too much so Im happy.

if the dealer opens up your engine bay and sees the cone intake they may do the 'void your warranty' BS. They'll never notice the drop in filter though... my two cents

The way I see it, $80 for the drop. You can get the HKS drop in for $35.

A cone + MAF adapter = $70 - $100, depending on what brand.

I know someone that's run 11.9 on the 1/4 with the drop in though, so it does what it's meant to.
