Drag radials on stock drivetrain - Opinions?

Just wanted to get an input on people who have experience with this.

After my second set of Advans, i've decided on getting some Nitto 555R Drag Radials, i do have a stock drivetrain though, so for people who run such, would running these tires hurt the drivetrain when drag racing - launching from a two step?

The 555R's aren't as sticky as the BFG's so, i'm assuming they wouldn't have the same gripping forceful effect....

Opinions?

y would you wanna spend money on Drag radials when you are still on stock turbo. get more power first. what are your 60 ft times?

+1. it's not worth it if you're looking for better 60fts. unless you have good power

Well i make 333whp and 356wtq, which is decent, but i didn't consider a certain power rating for running a drag radial for it to be effective. I think i ran a best of 1.6-1.7 on the advans.

Its either the 555R's or the Falken RT-615's which are the same price, why not go for something sticker? I road race once or twice a year, but i do drag race on the weekends....

In that case maybe you should go with these. I have all seasons on my stockers right now and they SUCK from a dig. I've only got a little more power than you and I'm doing 15-20ft burnouts with my 2-step......crappy damn tires.
