What a surpise!
2 nights ago before I went to bed, I was getting my stuff ready for the next morning because 0430 comes very quickly. I started to look for the keys to the Evo and could not find them anywhere. After frantically searching for about 10 minutes my wife comes down and says just go to bed and take the Jeep tomorrow, I'll have one of the girls I work with pick me up. Of course myself, being a stubborn asshat, said "No I have to find them or I wont be able to sleep tonight. Thats when she said "fine" and pulled the keys out of the cupboard and said "thanks for ruining your surprise, I was going to have the Evo cleaned for you tomorrow for the support the troops meet saturday". At this point I couldn't really be mad so i said sorry and told her I'd pretend this didn't happen.
Now yesterday, I come home from work and there's a card on my steering wheel and but the car is no where near clean. She's standing at the door waiting or me to come inside. She said she was sorry she only had a 1/2 hour break and didn't get a chance to wash the car. I said it was ok, I figured she just wanted to drive the Evo. So we get in the car and head over to Extreme to start working on a sign for Saturday, and she tells me open the card before I do anything else. It was one of those singing cards, and all it said on the inside was "I win". I was pretty confused at this point, and started up my car.
vroom! lope lope lope lope.
Yep, my wife stole my car and went and had cams and gears installed in it over at Extreme Motorsports! Sean had known about it for over a month and so had pretty much everyone I know. My wife wanted to have it done before this Saturday. Once I got over to Extreme, everyone had a good laugh at me for being totally oblivious. But I must say as usual they did an awesome job and the cars runs like a raped ape. They put the BC 272's in and AEM trutime cam gears. Now for the cool part, the car made 310 awhp and 324 tq, and they spool that stock turbo like CRAZY! Picked up 14hp and 44 tq altogether.
So, I had yet another OUTSTANDING experience at Extreme, and also got fooled pretty good finally by my wife.

You have an outstanding wife. She's definitely a keeper. My wife tries to buy me Evo stuff for holidays as well and I have to give her a list explaining which website and exactly what I am looking for. It's good to see your wife took such an active part in your car. Hold on to her.
I plan on it our 6 year anniversary is this July. It also helps we're really good friends with Sean at Extreme Motorsports so what ever he tells her to buy she does...lol

That's squared away. I hit my 16 year anniversary tomorrow. It's always good to have a hook up in the Evo aftermarket parts department.
Thats a sweet gift, I told the wapce that I wanted Jun cams for my bday and she was like "pffft, yeah right! Dont you want to go away somewhere?"
Translation = If I spend that much on something for your car then what does it benefit me? Why dont I spend it on a trip so that I can go on vacation too!
Your wife is a keepa

Marriage is about give and take. She "allows" you to buy stuff for your car in return she wants something for herself. Just remember one thing though, "if momma's not happy then nobody's happy". So therefore keep your better half happy and you can get what you want.

That's great man! Cams are something in my near future as well. I'll probably go Cosworth, but BC is a good choice.
