intake question Buschur couldnt answer
alright so ive searched, and ive emailed Buschur/AMS to see if anyone knew a CONFIRMED FITMENT of an UICP with the ARC Induction Box. so far i have found out that the NISEI, ARC, GReddy and HKS pipes will work...
however, the only place i have heard people buying the nesei pipes from (motiongarage.com) is aparently always out of stock, and ive read rumors that they are selling the site or something. the nisei site doesnt even have any info on them. it says "comming soon" along with all of their other parts.
ARC UICP = $800
need i say more?
The Greddy pipe also fits, but ive heard a couple things i dont like about them (bad fitment, too many bends when compared to other pipes, and it has a second hole on the pipe the purpose of which still escapes me) so im not sold on the GReddy pipe.
HKS offers a pipe that would work, but aparently its only sold in conjunction with their BOV. and im not about to replace my JDM BOV.
SOooo.. heres what ive got on the intake side:
ARC Super induction Box w/stock MAF mated to samco turbo induction pipe
stock turbo (stock WGA)
AMS Lower Intercooler pipe
stock FMIC
JDM MR Blow-off valve (on stock UICP)
PPI small battery kit
Buschur inline boost controller
i know theres going to be someone to say it, so let me just reply to it now that way we dont get off topic, YES i should just replace the STOCK FMIC, trust me i will, very very soon.
so if anyone could give me a straight answer i would be greatful.
BTW: Buschur answers all of my emails within a day or so, I have never recieved an Email response back from AMS (who is lucky they still have my buisness) theres only so much a deployed soldier can take.

I can not say for certain if it will fit with the ARC box or not. Sorry I can not be of more help and give you a solid answer.
I know our pipe will not work with the stock airbox as it rubs and will not sit down in place. How similar is the ARC fitment to stock?
Do you have any pics you could post?

Im sorry but i do not have pictures of my car as it sits in florida under a cover while im over here. i will post pictures of a similar car to mine THIS CAR HAS THE NISEI UICP (to which i have searched in vain to find a vendor in stock)
im sorry you feel that way EvoHung, but it is responses like that that make posting any question not quite worth while.
although there are other posts on this topic, there were never any confirmed "cheap" alternatives to the super expensive Ti ARC UICP.
THE GOAL OF THIS THREAD IS TO VERIFY WHAT UICP's FIT WITH THE ARC INDUCTION BOX AND SMALL BATTERY.
i looked for quite some time in order to find some solid answer, and hopefully this thread will clear things up for someone in the future, thus making these forums that much better.
the only stupid question is the one left un-asked no?
this one has the same intake (mated to the samco induction pipe just like mine)

if anyone knows a vendor for the NISEI UICP i would be greatful thanks!!!

thanks shocky for the reply, but ive read of people having trouble with the fitment on injens pipes.
i really want to use the buschur pipe, but no one can tell me for sure if it will fit, so ive had to look elseware.
you know, eventually im just going to get frustrated and get an ebay pipe out of frustration, and watch it'll be like the highest flowing pipe ever hahahahahaha

nooooooo dont go ebay on the car man, especially on an UICP, I bought one and it was serious crap, first it didn't fit, so I had to shorten it because the lower hose kept getting cut by the radiator fan blade! I ended up returning the stocker, anything but ebay UICP pleaaaaaase! the car was very rich because of the boost leak, then my cat got jammed because of all the smoke, dont lose hope man!
alright here are the pictures of the NISEI UICP from that site for all to see:
i just find it curious that no one can look at photos like this and be like "man! that looks exactly like the pipes we offer!!!)
thanks for the link btw.
jrod, man thats definately something to think about. but you know ive gotta go with facts, and right now the facts are that the Nisei pipe works
props to buschur, I would really like to know when you finally get more spark plug covers in stock.

Okay now I understand your purpose. I thought you were just extremely picky but I forgot to think about other people who might want to go your route also. Good luck and thanks for posting informative information.
you know, had i known it was going to cause this much confusion, i would have ordered a cone intake like everyone else, but i guess it was just a matter of time before someone went through this.
you know ive heard people say that once you get serious about making numbers, the ARC intake has flow restrictions, i dont know if that is true or not, but i would be more than happy, to post numbers. I'll even go as far as to adapt a K&N filter onto my MAF to show the difference (if any) once i get back.

alright so i googled "maxum technologies" and came accross that guys site:
buy Nisei UICP HERE:
http://www.maxumtechnologies.com/adv...fb7a488696acb2
you should be able to order the pipes you need from this site, also i think you can order the battery kits and LICP's and their FMIC's from that site too, if you have trouble finding them, just use the search feature on the left.
THANKS TO SHOCKY
ps: and just to clearify should someone ever dig this up, i never had any real intentions of putting ebay crap in my car, that was a joke
