Question Selling the evo! What to get??

Yes, unfortunately im gonna have to let the evo go because of the money. Im plannin on selling it and buying something around $8k.

I enjoyed EVERY single second of this car!!

What are the other cars out there that are good for this amount of money??

I know i will never find anything compared to an evo, but. . .

Ugh $8K? The only thing that comes to mind that would be good are older Integras, maybe a Civic hatch or older SI, first year WRX or 2.5 RS and Sentra SE-R's. Sucks to have to get rid of the Evo, but if you have to then you have to. Good luck on whatever you end up doing.

Honest answer is it depends. What are you looking for in the car and what are you going to do with the car?

If you wanna stick with awd and the 4g63 powerplant you should be able to find a mildly modded clean 2g Eclipse GSX or Talon tsi awd for around that. The reliability factor is a mixed bag though lol.

A Jetta wouldn't be so bad....Sporty, Comfortable, and somewhat quick.

Agreed. This is your best option if you want something anywhere near the Evo. Still lacking, but it's the closest thing for 8 grand.

^ I agree.... if you don't mind fixing some stuff get a nice 2G-B.

I would avoid swapped hondas as most of those are abortions. If you choose to go that route buy a donor and do the work yourself.

I'm in the exact same boat. I make good money, but priorities have forced me to reevaluate where my money goes. Anyways, I tried to justify a lightly modified 2001 A4, a couple of E36 M3's, or an 02 WRX, but the pragmatic side of me keeps knawing at my conscience. In the next month or so I'm going to buy a 2001 clean Honda Civic. It's practical, reliable, and when I can dump real money back into a fun car I can unload the civic with minimal loss. Best of luck.

A B5 Audi A4 1.8t for $5500 then buy the $1800 turbo kit plus exhaust and they claim 250 hp and 295 torque. Or I'd get a 944 Turbo.
