Are all door lock actuators universal?

My drivers side power door lock can unlock but can't lock when I press the power lock button on the door or the key fob. I works manually and if I use the key but If I try to use the power lock to lock the drivers side door it only moves a little bit. All other doors can lock and unlock fine via the power lock button. I guessing the actuator is at fault. I saw a cheap actuator on ebay and wondered if they were all the same.

No all car manufactures PDL assemblies are different. Alot of guys will use those type on NON PDL cars like the RS.

Those require alot of fab to get to work on the EVO. In the how to section somone did those on an RS. I have used them on non PDL cars in the past. I think from the dealer they are only a smig over 100 for the OEM Mitsu one.

For her RS I got a set on here OEM off a used EVO and tapped the wires from the aftermarket alarm to it
