Dim gauges

On my 03 evo 8 the dash gaues are so dim I can't see them when night time drving. I checked the switch for intensity by my left knee but that helped with the interior ( Radio, AC area etc) But it did help with the little orange mileage box in the gauge cluster but not the gauges themselves. So I replaced the fuses sill no luck. Any idea?

Are that OEM dash gauges?
I think they come with regular incandescent lamp...why dont your try to disconnect OEM wire and connect light wire directly on +12V? You will be able to check first if it due to wiring or lamp...
1-If it's wiring: rewire from another source.
2-If it's lamp problem, take your shot to replace lamps with Leds...
Hope this could help!
Cheers

Yes they are the OEM ones.
So I'm going to need to remove the gauges to get this all done?

yep but no worry it's easy!
Where do you have them: Up in the radio place or down?
It's located usually down...2 screws on the top side of relocation kit.
