$1600 per cat here in Cali.
jsut get a good flowing hi-flow cat with metallic mesh inside. helix or works. or any other 100 cell cat.

that 5whp difference between test pipe and a good HFC will not make or break your car IMHO.

Is this how it is in jersey?
If you don't mind me asking where in Jersey. I've heard that it can happen as a worst case scenario, but don't know of it actually happening or of anyone that it happened to. I have gone through DMV road blocks b4 the ones that check if your inspection is up to date and not even been looked at twice.

You think 12lbs is going to make a difference in a 3300lb car? Especially at the bottom of the car.

Do u mean where in jersey I am? Or where this happened? I think you misunderstood. I too have heard this can happen as a worst case scenario, was just trying to get everyones input on their experiences. (especially for those in nj who are running test pipes)

Actually, 12 pounds is a lot of weight when you are tracking your car. I'm right around 3100 lbs. All the weight you can save the better. Allows for later braking into corners, faster acceleration out of corners, and less force trying to pull you off the track (less understeer). Light weight exhaust, light weight battery kit, testpipe , etc.. all help.
