Is it still stock?

Couple days ago here in LA as I was getting out of my car I was asked how many horses my EVO has and I said around ~280s HP.. He asked if I have done any engine/tuning work and I said no its still 100% stock and it will remain that way . With that being said, here is my question… How many stock EVOs 8s or 9s are still out there? When I mean stock I mean stock as 100% no engine, exhaust, ECU work. I am curious to know.

I am still 100% stock

I see your point but I don’t agree... just curious to see how many stock left. Every time I see one on the street it either has an exhaust or a modification of some sort.

This is not a good place to find stock Evo's. The majority of stock Evo owners probably do not post here, whereas the majority of American Evo modifiers probably do post here.

I don't know how you could estimate how many stock Evo's are running around, but I would wager that the Evo probably has one of the higher percentages of owners that modify their cars.

The absolute truth! I kept my car stock for as long as I could... then I just gave up.

+1. I told myself when I bought it, "that it has a turbo engine" thats all I need, and I am gonna keep it stock! That lasted about 3 months... now Im @ stage1. Tuned @ 330/295 w/ the stock cat!

If your evo is 100% stock with no flash or anything, its well below 280, most dyno at around 251. Just a fyi.

Probably not many like stated before. With just a couple of basic boltons you're pushing 100hp over stock....not too many cars can do that. I have an intake and exaust and manual boost controller with a very safe tune and I'm making that.

My IX SE is still completely bone stock. It was purchased in February 2007 (brand new) and was just serviced this past weekend for its 11,500 mile oil change. I still have a set of uninstalled springs in my garage.

I think it helps when you don't have too much disposable income and a strong desire to pay off credit card debt.

Probably 95% of evos are modified. You have guts to keep it stock lol. It's just tempting to get more ponies out of it.
