800 mile trip Suggestions

So i'm gonna be taking an 800 mile 12 hour trip next week and was wondering how many have done a trip this long what are your thoughts. Also what should i keep handy. I have a tool box with some screwdrivers and wrenches incase a pipe pops off but thats one of the only things in can think of, aside of your obvious flat tire, happening.

Maybe blue tape your front end to prevent rock chips or get the clear bra.

I have a clear bra already but thinking of tapping up the front just for fun after reading some of the other threads about the blue tape.

Should be fine, just have the regualr fluids, and a spare/jack just in case. I have done numerous 700-1200 mile trips even got hit on the way during the first part of the trip. Just be careful and stop when you need to and everything should be alright. Have a safe trip!

You dont need anything besides a tool box for self reassurance.....Do not boost stay out of boost, i say this to save you gas money.....other than that, the only thing I can think of if take a girl with you ad handle business at every rest stop...that right there is something you need to do before you die.....have a safe trip and stay safe.....in the crazy zone!

I've done it twice, both times were problem free. I took an 11mm wrench (for t-bolts) and some extra coolant & oil.

I'm in Jersey and drive to Michigan every year to see my parents and haven't had any problems. Just bring the spare just incase. Maybe some screw drivers and an adjustable wrench for a just in case. I have a mini cooler I keep a couple red bulls in there it never fails right at the 9 hour point I start to get a little tired. Make sure to get a good nights sleep before the trip.

Can always pick some up on your way. But it's good idea to keep that tool box close by cause you'll probably need it just in case. Come to Wisconsin! Smell the fresh Cows

Rent a car if your returning soon. Keeps the miles off the Evo. Better gas mileage. Won't have to worry about staying out of the boost. If it breaks your taken care of.

I've gotta agree with this one! Unless you really want to take your Evo for that long of a trip, why not put the miles on someone else's car!!!

Thanks guys. I have made the trip six or seven times b4 but not in the EVO it's always been in my dad's Jimmy but not this time it needs new shocks. Anyway yeah the redbull and caffeine pills are a must, one of the times i drove was over night and believe me those things work well never felt sleepy the whole way. So i guess oil and coolant are on my list just in case, i just had the car serviced last week so das good.
Wish i could bring the GF for the rest stops but she's gotta work. LOL

I just made a 1400 mile trip in 2 days and all I can say is without cruise control I would wedge my foot between the pedal and the side/floor not much besides that I hope your not driving through Kansas.

made a trip from ohio to nj. 600 extremely boring miles. Penn is the world of trees and bugs. Had to scrub the windshield clean at every stop. Cruise control would be nice but no biggie. Just make sure you get rest before the trip.
