Best bet is to get a resonated pipe (ebay item), then attach an anti-fouler to the rear 02 sensor. No codes, and you wont wake the dead every time you get on it.

get the cheapest available. Its just a hollow pipe with 2 flanges welded on it. Its not worth paying extra $$.

If you dont have a dp already buy the DC Sports dp with cat delete. Thats what I run. If you already have a dp any ss pipe will work the same.

have a greddy ti-c by any chance? thinking about switching to this setup but interested in the power/sound difference.

is it worth getting a downpipe as well? Power wise - how much more power with an aftermarket dp will it give on the dyno with a tune? Ive heard no gains for the IXs

That's absurd. A downpipe is key to relieving backpressure... as is a test pipe... as is a high flowing cat back.

A full exhaust and tune is worth 50whp

You should always work on the back of the exhaust forward in my opinion. Doing the test pipe without a cat back isn't worth it.

ULTIMATE RACING FIT GREAT AND NO CODE!
it doesnt throw a code because the bung they welded on the test pipe is like 2 inches out of the pipe so the o2 doesnt come in direct contact with the exhaust..you can do this on any test pipe and use a spark plug anti fouler..
