Quick Tips to help deaden the outside sounds
Hey People who like it quiet! Im coming up with ways to help silence the outside road and world noise, without losing your loving power gainers. I can not tell you how many times I was on the phone with the Mom! and she is hollering at me because all she hears is this annoying *** sound...lol My engine/exhaust
. I will start off........ please contribute your opinions.
I was thinking maybe if i sprayed rubberized under coating, under the carpet.......
Remove seats, remove consoles, seat belts, remove carpets.....
Clean all metals down with dish soap and water wipe dry......
Got to Walmart and get the rubberized coating, and go to town.....be sure to hit the nook and crannies first, those hard to get spots if not covered correctly will create flaking or peeling later. Be sure to wait until completely dry(48-72 hours on a dry day) or you will create stench from the moisture.
You can heavy coat it through the middle along where the exhaust runs to ensure optimal silence..... Maybe even doing this in the trunk under you plastics might help as well.
Also Replacing you door rubbers, trunk rubbers, hood rubbers.
All of the above shouldn't be to pricey, especially the coating.......
If you can think of anything else, Im sure there is plenty, please share......

Yeah the undercoating used under the car from factory not only protects the chassis, but also helps insulate sounds from the cab area.........
Im sure there is a more expensive way to do this, like buying insulation mats from Like DEI(which I carry
) and laying it down or taping it to the floor before carpet is put back in.......

lol just because I drive an evo doesn't mean I can't find cheap ways to DIY's. hence the reason why we should find cheaper ways to do it. SO we can spend that saved money on mods......Dynamat is a good idea, pretty much the same thing as DEI's Boom mat......but in smaller sheets
