I do this all the time. Waved at some STI folks, its amusing how few of them wave back, even at the local SCCA most of them seem anti-social, pretty out of place imo.

 

i get this alot there are like 6-7 running around my area. so i get the blow off and rumbling backfire .

i think there are 5 sti's around they all way except the the guy with the stock sti w/ the plate that reads EVO KLR...

and i always wave at evo's or flash the lights

oh and i wave at the guy with the R33 Skyline to (GTS and close to stock.)

Ha, yeah... sometimes I forget which car I'm in. Even yelling out the window, "My other car is an Evo!" once you've realized doesn't really smooth it over.

 

i usually know the people around here who have evo's...so i wave...if i don't know them I give them the nod of approval

Most of the Evo's in my area I know, so I wave at them not only because they're in an Evo, but they're a friend. If I do see an Evo I don't know, I generally wait for them to initiate the wave. If they wave, I wave back

One time, some guy in an STi gave me a thumbs down. So I just waved at him and smiled

So what do you do when it comes from a guy in a Civic. I had a guy in one look over at me at do the Fight Club nod. I usually wave back at the Evos and STIs, but a Civic?...

 

If I see an Evo I usually stick out my tongue and flutter it up and down like Hannibal from Silence of the Lambs. For some reason they don't wave back.

 

I dont even own a evo yet and I wave or give a thumbs up. Im in a DSM so they show respect and wave back every time.

 

Its just a nod, downward tilt of the head, they do it in the movie Fight Club.

 

i do...but i get the cold shoulder a lot too ahah...

 

I have only gotten a thumbs up or a wave by an Sti owner once. Usually it's the finger...and there are ALOT of Sti's around here.
