if i had 2 evos...one modded, one stock. Id be like wtf am i doing? and sell one and have one 9 sec evo.

But in your case, yes id sell or trade one in for something else. If the is-f is want you want then do it

yes the is-f is a sweet car...but the evo is just raw...

different strokes for different folks
I asked everyone this question because this is a question i'd ask my friends and they don't have evos, so i figured it was better to ask peeps that drive the same car i drive.

Yeah i think i'm done modding. dont get me wrong i love the evo, but yeah too many haters. i actually got egged again last night. my stock one is an RS so i wont have to worry about that. I actually test drove the ISF and yeah its damn fast. I dont like BMW and the only problem with the mercedes is that the C63 is still just a C-Class. i like the ISF because its kinda like the top of the line lexus. I couldn't afford the top of the line mercedes. I appreciate everyone's comments. you guys are all cool peeps. all you guys FTW!!!!!!!!!!!!

The older I get the rawer the Evo gets. So, I understand where you're coming from. I think a luxury sports car is a great idea.

Thats what I thought too. I sold my Evo 9 and bought an 05 M3. Went with an AA supercharger, suspension and Most every other bolt on I could get power out of. Sold it after 3 months of having everything installed. Used the part out money and what I made on the vehicle to pay cash for another Evo. I'm 30 going 0n 31 next month and it still puts a huge smile on my face every time I drive it!! But since he has 2 Evo's I would say pick up a daily driver thats more civilized to drive I guess..

test drive them. they are all well rated cars. from what ive read, that the isf is just mad powerful. the m3 is racey, but only when revved high. and the merc is obviously a monster in the straits but ive heard bad things about merc service, while bmw has good service. lexus not sure. all i know is you can never go wrong with an M. look at every generation and they still sell for top dollar and still have people buying them used and loving every moment of it. sell 1 evo and get a 4dr M3, thats my .02

Actaully sell one and get the new 335 as it will be way more mod freindly since its turbo charged. The only problem with BMW's is they are very expensive to mod be it apperance or performance.

here's how i look at it:
reliability- IS-F, M3, C63

brute power- C63, M3, IS-F

track car- M3, IS-F, C63

resale value- IS-F, M3, C63

dealer service- IS-F, M3, C63

i didn't include the CTS-V bcuz it still has a Silverado looking interior

also out of the 3 above, Benz does not provide complimentary service ($100 oil changes for example) + Benz has the worse depreciation of any car sold not to mention benz electrical systems are a nightmare. me personally i would still take the benz

The IS-F is a sweet looking car. If you can swing the $72K to buy it go for it.

My neighbor from across the street just got a silver one. Man its really nice. I love the lines. I ran him Tuesday morning on the way to work going about 60 in 4th gear. I will tell you this, that car has a long way to go before it will catch my Evo.

He was left sitting pretty smelling my exhaust fumes.

EVO $29,000
parts, etc $20 to $25,000 give or take I lost count

Total lets say $55,000 and you will smoke the IS-F all day long.

IS-F $72,000

You can spend the $17,000 cash left over on your evo & still have enough money to buy an extra car as a beater.

not to mention u really can't valet an EVO w/out worring if ur car won't b trashed when u pick up the keys + it don't have Toyota reliability like the Lex.

if u have to spend an extra $25k to get 500+whp & beat a STOCK lexus u might as well just buy a 500whp car that is stock. at least it might have a warranty that's not voided...
