Should I Get Rid Of The Viii For A X
Keep the 8.. im loving the X myself.. but i cant spend 36k on a car that i gota put another 10k in to like it.. also am waiting for shep to make longer gears for it.. on the hwy i do 75-85 limit here is 70 on hwy.. and 4600rpm just seems a lil high
Those of you claiming that your dealer wants to trade you straight up for your 8 -- please post the name of the salesmen and the phone number for the dealership. Also, could if you are going to bull**** us, could you at least make it half way believable?

Yep. There is no way a used 03-06 evo is going to jump $10-$15 grand in value to match a Exo X. 99.99% of Cars deprecate... Now, privatively someone might be willing to pay that much; but that is the nomlative, not the normative.

Alot of Evolution VIII's with around 40-60k miles on the odometer are selling in these parts of the country from anywhere between 17-21k dollars depending on condition. Which probably means whoever traded them in got raped, probably recieveing anywhere between 13-16k dollars, and alot were probably upside down....
Lets say your car is paid for and they give you on the high side, 20k dollars, which probably isn't going to happen. That means you will still have to finance 10k dollars +, so you are going to take a hit. I'd probably keep the Evolution VIII unless somthing in you really desires an Evo X for some reason (I can't see why). If I was going to take a hit that bad on trading in a car, it sure wouldn't be for an Evo X, mabey a new G35 or 3 series or somthing.

Keep the VIII. Why? YOU ALREADY HAVE IT! I feel the VIII will be superior and more of a rarity than the X could ever dream to be.
Do you know what I'm doing with my IX? I'm going to drive her until the motor blows up from road racing. Then what am I going to do? Rebuild her and drive her some more. I would love to have this car 5-10 years. I'll do whatever I have to to keep her. Wouldn't trade her for 5 Evo Xs. No sir.
