Should I Get Rid Of The Viii For A X
I also love my nine and wouldn't trade it for an X. But you have to give credit where it is due. The car was designed to appeal to a greater crowd and that is exactly what it does. Only thing that worries me is how stout the drivetrain will prove to be in the long run.
If you're not looking for the more refined feel then stick with the VIII. Way out what you like and dis like between the two cars. If you're just ready for a new car then I would consider other options instead of going right for the X.
I guess I'll be different from everyone else and say, go for it.
You'd probably have to demod and/or private sale the VIII to get some of your hard earned money back.

100% new car
Fresh warranty
Infinitely more comfortable & accommodating than any previous Evo's
Probably the best handling non-supercar you can buy
And for the people who cry performance, the X is proven to be very factory detuned, and is responding better to small bolt ons than the VIII or IX. Buschur's X ran a 12.2 with just intake, FMIC & piping, and a tune on 93 only.

But i'm still keeping my VIII, too much blood, and sweat put in to building my car.
500hp 8> X.
The X is going to seam like your chained to a tree compared to your modified 8.
Now if your tired of the noise and want all handling and are done with high end mods then the X MR SST might be the way to go..

test drive and find out for yourself. IMO, I think the X is a more comfortable car to drive...and your 500hp VIII is just pure fun to drive...just not as comfortable. I say keep the VIII
