I would like to see two classes. One class being Street and the other being outlaw. To me there is a clear distinction between the two.

Just like at most tracks they have a street class and an outlaw class.

To define what a street car would be original suspension configuration, fire wall, rad support, unibody still intack. Dot approved tires. Basiclly cars that can be inspected and driven on the street. Of course there could be some other things listed .

Outlaw class . whatever you can do to it.

This is just my opinion.

no need to regulate but there is a thing called integrity. I just like seeing the guys who can drive a car to and from the track. Truely street cars .

I would say different classes but not because of the rear end I think that once you cut up one of these cars to that point you might as well do the rear, who makes the rules.

Alot of lies are told about weight turbos etc, I don't beleive it unless I see it.

It's funny how in the sanctioned events where the testing of fuel and measuring of wheels and weight of vehicle is checked after every pass takes place the picture is a little different. Evo guys aren't into racing, they are into marketing. You make a pass by yoursef at your home track hold it on the 2 step for 5 mins till you can launch it perfect then bam!!

There is a nopi class called turbo street that so called street cars can run in. Good luck seeing too many of these evos in that, and there is a reason.......

yeah i got a rude awakening in my 1st season of heads up racing.. I wish i could sit there on my 2 step for 5 seconds and launch when i felt good and ready but the pro-tree dont wait for noone... Sanctioned racing is not for everyone.. It is alot of hassle and BS but its the only way to make for a level playing field. The weight rules, fuel tests, tires sizes are all what makes it competitive.. None of which can be done for list of Quickest and Fastest Evos on EVOM..

When I heard what a street driving evo called the bad bish weighed, I was shocked that a street driving evo that looked pretty normal could weigh that.

2575 without driver. So with 180lb driver what is that 2755? So you have a 2755 lb car at 750 wheel...............let me calculate...................153 mph quarter.

Then you try that with your 3200lb evo...........................You will only go 145/146 same power but the weight makes a huge ****ing difference, HUGE.

Old power to weight trick. Can't do that in nopi though..............you will never see them there.

I use that alot seems dead on the money for dynojet wheel hp.

Should shed some light, none of this is magic, it's all power to weight.

I geuss marketing is the big factor. The company with the faster car will sell more parts.

Just think of the guy who buys all the same parts as he sees on the race car and can't figure out why his car is so much slower. Maybe they forgot to tell him to hack his car to shet.

But not all of us are here to make money or sell parts. Some of the people here just like to race. Some of it might just be bench racing but oh well.

The turbo street class is a great example of what a street car would be like. And i know there would be no way to truely regulate. But i think that integrity and a little common sense could distinguish a street car from an "outlaw".

...

back halving the car is not really a weight savings more less to help the 60 foot in the car and keep the rear end from breaking. However... once you fix the rear diff situation, then what about the t-case? I don't think there should be a class, way too many options.

Something danced around here, but not specifically mentioned... Classes for what? Fat chance of having even 60% of these 1000+hp evos being at the same track and in one piece to race each other. Some would have a better chance at the staying together part lol. As far as a list on evom.... How are you going to relulate that? You can go run nitroethane in your car and nobody will know when you post up the video.

People are taking this stuff way to serious. Most of these cars do not fit in with any class of racing very well. In case you missed it above... I remember when David/Dan cared about import racing. That time is not now. If I am wrong I am sorry, but the black car is mainly meant to showcase the power that they are capable of making. Not blowing up rear ends while trying to get from A to B now is just one less thing to worry about.
