Need opinions!!!!

Okay guys i need a lil advice....i was thinking of going back to the stock airbox w/ a k&n drop in filter...the main reason for that is i have the aem short ram intake installed and the bypass valve sits so akwardly in the intake, it seems to pop out a lil at times cause everything is so crammed in there with the uicp and huge *** battery so id rather have it sit nice and snug in the stock airbox set up until i buy another turbo setup where i'll need a diff. intake and thats when i'll buy the uicp and mini battery...does that sound like something you guys would do or have done?

Ive heard its better in some cases to not have the short ram when running stock turbo....another reason is that i dont wanna spend the money on the uicp and mini battery unless the right price is available.....so will i be okay with running the stock airbox when i get tuned with the mods in my sig and i'll be getting tuned on 93 octane with 272 cams?????

Thanks

Yes, you should. A bypass valve that pops out is bad. Make sure if you ever return to the short ram to get a re tune b/c it greatly changes your a/f

Keep the intake and fix the plumbing on the valve. I still have my stock battery and UICP and it is ok.

Ohh yeah you'll be fine and still make plenty of power with your mods.

i started piecing the stock airbox back together last night so it'll be going back on...the bypass valve fits so much nicer in the plastic intake lol

does the ams k&n cone filter and adapter seem like solid substitute for the aem short ram intake? cause that way i'll still have the rubber intake instead of the metal
