should i get my car repainted

Well when i bought my evo there were chips and little things there then the other day one i was driving to a local supermarket where the entire place was under construction and one of my friends said you will make it so i go over this pot hole at an an angle and didn't hear scraping or anything. So when i got home i looked at the driver side bumper and its scratched badly there is hardly any paint on it. So i was just wondering should i let it be or get it repainted? I have also heard that an aftermarket paint job is not as good as factory since they cant bake it well enough is that true?

if the color is a dark color...it fades away in sun a lot faster than factory paint job...i've seen a few cars...but then again wondering how much is spent on the paint

I would probably do it if I had the money... i've got 1800... yes that's 18 hundred miles on my 06 RS and there are chips EVERYWHERE. The paint of these cars sucks! It's very soft. I just ordered some paint to repair the chips and i'll post a how-to on it for those who have the same problem and want to see how it comes out. But, yes i'd repaint it and get the hardest paint out there with an extra layer of clear coat.

It will not be as good as factory unless you go to a really good shop and spend a boat load of cash.

Try to do ANYTHING but repaint, trust me. To get a job to rival the factory job, you will hae to spend thousands of dollars, nevermind the tme it will take to find that good of a body shop.

Trust me. I worked at a body shop for a few summers back in college. Plus if you ever plan on selling the car, the moment that thing is shot with new paint the resale goes down hill.

Silver is one of the hardest colors to correctly blend. Make sure you talk with a reputable shop. Ask for some references.
